Psychological or Family counselling

Starting counselling for psychological and other neurodevelopment issues can feel new or even a little overwhelming, and that’s completely normal. At our centre, we’re here to support not just your child, but your whole family.

When your child comes in, they’ll meet a kind and caring counsellor who creates a safe, calm space just for them. Sometimes we talk; sometimes we use drawing, stories, or play to help your child express what’s on their mind. The goal is to help them understand their feelings, such as worry, fear, anger, sadness, trauma, or inadequacies, and learn gentle ways to manage them.

Because healing happens best with support at home, we also invite parents and caregivers into the process. This might include separate parent sessions, joint family meetings, or guidance on how to respond to your child’s emotions with empathy and confidence. We believe that when families grow together in understanding, children feel more secure and resilient.

Every family is unique, so we tailor our approach to your needs. Your counsellor will work closely with you to build trust, set goals, and create a plan that respects your child’s pace and your family’s values.

You’re not alone on this journey. Together, we can help your child feel calmer, stronger, and more like themselves and help your family thrive.
